Hillside Residence Hall



There are many common areas for students to socialize in a casual setting. We have a large 64-inch screen television, pool table and fireplace in the main living area as well as plenty of sofas. Outdoors, there is a courtyard, which is a nice place to get some sun while socializing or working. There is a spacious library as well. Availible througout the building is wireless networking which allows residents to use the Internet through their computer anywhere in Hillside.

Residential Assistants (RAs) live in the house to assist students. RAs are a good source of information about life in the Berkeley area. They also help organize social events and other activities.

Nineteen meals a week are served in the dining hall. Our Food Service Director is receptive to student suggestions and plans a varied menu every month.

Hillside Durant

Hillside Durant is a private dormitory with no meals located one block south of the UC Berkeley Campus. It is a modern building with 12 double (2 people) rooms and 6 semiprivate bathrooms. The dormitory has two large kitchens and dining areas where students may prepare their own meals. Each room is furnished with beds, desks, chest of drawers, large closets, and a sink. Students can socialize or study in a large lounge on the third floor with TV/VCR. There are coin-operated laundry machines and a backyard with a barbecue area.
